February Arts and Cultural Events in Medford

February is for lovers . . . especially lovers of art and culture in Medford. The month offers a wide variety of nearly 50 events in the city, including:

– Chevalier Theatre welcomes former Vice President Joe Biden (Feb. 1), comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias (Feb. 9-11), David Bowie band mates (Feb. 16) and country singer Sara Evans (Feb. 17)

– The Medford Garden Club’s annual winter movie night (Feb. 1) features “Wings of Life,” the acclaimed Disney documentary narrated by Meryl Streep

– The West Medford Community Center bookends its Black History Month events with its “Words and Music” program on Feb. 2 and an art exhibit on Feb. 25

– CACHE in Medford holds another paint night fundraiser (Feb. 6) to support its mission of promoting arts, culture and a healthy economy in Medford

– Sanctuary UCC Gallery presents “Nature of New England,” an exhibit and reception (Feb. 9) featuring the work of photographer Eric Smith

– Medford High/Medford Technical High PTO presents a screening and discussion of the film “Screenagers” (Feb. 15), which looks at how tech time affects a young person’s development

Other events include author and book talks, Mystic Makerspace classes, and other music, film, drama,dance and comedy performances
