October Arts and Cultural Events in Medford

If you’ve ever wanted to sample the arts and cultural events offerings in Medford, the month of October is the time to do it. Buoyed by the seventh annual Arts Across Medford programs, more than 60 events are taking place in the city throughout the month.

Highlights include:

– Historical talks on the Brooks family, sculptor Emilius Ciampa, and 20th Century Medford

– Drama performances by the True Story Theater (“Family Stories”), Tufts Department of Drama and Dance (“Kin”), and Boston Shakespeare Project (“A Midsummer Night’s Dream)

– The Royall House and Slave Quarters’ annual Giving Voice benefit event featuring Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Annette Gordon-Reed

– First Baptist Church Fall Concert Series events, including a performance by the Harvard Early Music Society

– Art installations including an exhibit on the works of groundbreaking photographer and filmmaker Robert Frank

– Mystic Makerspace Open House and other events
