As Green Line extension construction continues along the railroad right-of-way in Medford and Somerville, “abutters can expect to see crews engaging in soil borings and earth work [this] week” near Tufts, in addition to work in Somerville.
Work will happen during 7 am and 4:30 pm and will take place within the MBTA railroad right-of-away, according to an email from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
“We are coordinating with neighbors and elected officials to schedule meetings with direct abutters to discuss the construction scope and program in neighborhoods where activities are occurring.”
The state also plans to issue the final request for proposal to the “shortlisted” design-build teams. The winning bidder should announced in February 2018.
