MA Governor Charlie Baker will be in Medford on Tuesday to tour new Orange Line cars, according to his public schedule.
Governor Baker will join Secretary of Transportation Stephanie Pollack, Acting MBTA General Manager Brian Shortsleeve and MBTA Chief Operating Officer Jeff Gonneville at Wellington Yard at the Wellington MBTA station to check out the new trains.
CRRC MA in Springfield is contracted by the MBTA for the design, construction and delivery 152 Orange Line Cars and 252 Red Line cars.

According to a document obtained by Universal Hub, the new Orange Line trains should be in service in early 2019.
