Medford Technical High School (formerly Medford Vocational Technical High School) has recently received over $500,000 in grants, according to announcements released on behalf of the school.
MTHS received $99,516 from the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center from its STEM equipment and supplies program. The school will use the money for its Robotics program, according to the MPS Advantage blog.
MTHS has also received a $495,000 state grant to expand its Culinary Arts & Hospitality and Engineering programs.
According to an email from MTHS Director Heidi Riccio, the money will “allow Medford Tech to re-build a commercial kitchen, cafe, full service dining room, conference room while also adding manufacturing equipment that will support our Engineering and Metal Fabrication programs.”
