Medford’s 1st Snow Emergency, Winter Storm Taking Place Saturday

– Allison Goldsberry

The first major snow storm of the year could bring 6 to 12 inches of snow to Medford and the area, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 1:00 AM Sunday. Moderate to heavy snow is expected to fall into Saturday evening before tapering off around midnight.

A snow emergency is in effect in Medford as of 3:00 PM Saturday until further notice. Residents are asked to park on the even side only on side streets and no parking is allowed on major arteries (the city has a list here) until the snow emergency is lifted.
